Guaymas destinations of Sonora is located 117 km south of Hermosillo. This municipality is bordered on the North by La Colorada; to the South with San Ignacio Rio Muerto; to the East, Suaqui Grande, Cajeme and Bacum; to the Northwest, Hermosillo and Southwest, with the Gulf of California and splice. It has an area of 12,208.18 square kilometers, representing the 6.58 of total State. The most important localities are: Vicam, Potam, Las Guasimas, Ortiz and Santa Clara. The most famous festival of the port is the Carnival which is celebrated in the month of February of each year since 1888. The main points of interest in Guaymas are: the Church of San Fernando that dates back to the 19th century and of the sacred heart.
